Winter 2010 Spanish Classes in Decatur

Winter Spanish classes for children taught by our favorite Spanish teacher start in just two weeks! Spring Into Spanish classes are for children ages two to seven, taught in downtown Decatur.  Fun, immersion-style lessons include games, music, movement, and literature.  The classes are taught by Miche Baskett, a former Spanish teacher in the City Schools of Decatur and Decatur Presbyterian Children’s Community.  Señora Baskett, a Decatur resident, has over ten years experience writing curriculum and teaching Spanish to young children.

It’s time to register for the Winter 2010 Session of Spring Into Spanish!
Classes begin January 12.  ¡Vamos a la plaza!

This winter, we will take an imaginary trip to a vibrant downtown plaza, complete with a bookstore, a toy store, a bakery, a supermarket, restaurants, vehicles, and pedestrians.  We will talk about community helpers, neighbors, and more.

Sign up now for the Winter Session (January 12 – March 25).
Classes meet for forty-five minutes once a week for ten weeks.
No class the week of February 15 – 19.
The session costs $140, with a $10 registration fee for new families; second sibling only $110.

Classes for two to five-year-olds with an accompanying adult:
This is a fun opportunity to learn together with your child!  I recommend these classes to all students under four years old.  Four and five-year-olds are also welcome in these classes.  Optimum class size is from five to eight students.  Choose one of five class times offered.
Tuesdays at 3:30 p.m., or 4:30 p.m.
Wednesdays at 9:30 a.m., or 3:30 p.m.
Thursdays at 10:30 a.m.

Class for students ages four to seven with an adult on-campus:
This class is for older students who are ready to be in class without an adult.  You may wish to choose this class if you think it would benefit your very independent learner, or if it works better for your schedule.
Wednesdays at 4:30 p.m.
