I’m happy to see all of the Earth Day events in and near Decatur, and I’m especially excited about the Decatur Green Fest coming up on May 2nd on the Decatur Square. Not only does it kick off one of my favorite Decatur events, the Spring concert series, but it’s a near day-long event (3 – 9:30 pm) that will be as fun as it is educational.
Here are a few of the highlights:
- Free live music
- Tastings of local organic food
- Green vendor and product information
- Children’s rain barrel workshop and activities
- Tours of local green buildings and homes
