Summer has gone by way too fast. I don’t know about you, but I’m a little sad to see my kids going back to school. It seems like it was just a couple of weeks ago when we were enjoying the Decatur Beach Party. Now, it’s time for the Decatur Book Festival. Where did the time go?

As much as I will miss seeing my kids wake up and dress up like princesses and superheros, now is a good time to get back into a routine, restore order to our weekdays and get organized. The August issue of Atlanta Parent magazine is all about getting organized for back to school and they have published a full list the kids consignment sales in the Atlanta Metro area to help make shopping for school easier and more affordable.

On a related note, BTS is also a good time to focus on child safety. I recently received an offer from The Picture People for a Free Child ID Kit. The offer says that it includes a photo and a private and confidential record of your child’s personal information for use in case of an emergency. The offer is good until August 30th and you can print a coupon to redeem a Free Child ID Kit here.
We have used The Picture People for our children’s portraits and I think that it is awesome that they are offering this as a free service. The closest Picture People location to Decatur is Perimeter Mall.

The First Baptist Church of Decatur has the lowest registration fee ($1) and gives the highest percentage of sales. If selling, that’s the one to sell at! PLUS, you will never be asked to shelve one thing……drop of and run! Appointments are you and one other person. I have wasted a day of my life waiting in line to sell at *another* sale, had to hang everything on my own, handed over $5 to even be in the sale, and then got a low %. Not at FBC! If you’re a seller, and you like to crunch the numbers, FBC is the best bet for you! Trust me…I tried them all before I found Jeannie!
