My son is 7yrs and has been talking about soccer since age 4yr. I would like to know more about dates and fees. I think soccer would be great for his summer.

I agree that there are a lot of things developmental opportunities for young children. But I’m not sure what’s so disturbing about soccer. The kids are pre-school age, and that is about the age where many kids get exposed to soccer, t-ball, etc. But they can start younger, as my little one did, if they are really into kicking balls. My little one also loves to sing and play the drums. He always has, so we do Music Together and all that other mommy and me stuff. He really likes it but he wakes up in the morning asking to play soccer. He’s 2 and half now and he’s been consistent with his interest in soccer for about a year. My biggest consideration was that I did not want to my child to be exposed to high-pressure coaches or demanding parents or other things that take the fun out of learning how to play a sport. Coach Georges’ approach is to not put the kids into teams and make them compete but rather help them gain some coordination and basic soccer skills and have fun with it so that they can have more confidence if they decide to join a team when it’s appropriate.

Isn’t anyone as deeply disturbed at the thought of this as I am? These kids aren’t even two!!!!!!! They are BABIES! Come on folks… let the poor little guys (and girls) play. Their pro soccer careers can wait until they are a few years older.

I would suggest that anyone considering “toddler soccer” visit a site….

Anyone considering this class might get some good perspective here and it will save you a good bit of wasted money.
