I had a chance to attend the release party for Wake Up And Sing with Ms. Jacque at the Little Shop of Stories and it was a wonderful time. Wake Up And Sing with Ms. Jacque is a collection of songs that inspire self confidence in children through traditional favorites such as Itsy Bitsy Spider and original new music like We Are The Stars.
In addition to the inspiring lyrics, Ms. Jacque’s music has got a lot of soul. So if you’ve been looking for an ABC song that you can “get down” to then you should pick up a copy of her CD available at the LSoS. We’ve been playing it over and over again since the party and my children’s favorite is Grandma Moses which is an up tempo song about a grandmother who thinks she’s sick but all she needs is a peppermint stick.
Ms. Jacque teaches music classes for children with special needs. If you would like more information on her programs you may contact her at jacquerhoward@aol.com or 770-991-7489.
Here is Ms. Jacque performing Itsy Bitsy at the release party.
